Navarre Beach is on a sand-barrier island stretching from Pensacola Beach to Fort Walton Beach. Since Navarre has no passage to the gulf, and its boundaries are a national seashore and state park, it has stayed a relatively small beach town with some condominiums, a few hotels, many beach homes, restaurants, a fishing pier and some shops.
